Trainee Service Advisor / Aftersales Advisor

Five Acres Garage has a vacancy for a Trainee Service Advisor at our dealership in Coleford in the Forest of Dean, and would welcome candidates who are looking to start a career within the motor industry at our family run dealership.

This is a full time position that will involve working a 40 hour week Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm.

Are you great with people, organised, and clear at communicating? Do you love cars and want to be the vital link between our customers and workshop mechanics? We’re looking for a friendly, sharp, enthusiastic Service Advisor to join our busy team!

What You'll Do:

  • Welcome Clients: Greet customers face-to-face and over the phone, listening closely to their vehicle concerns.
  • Bridge the Gap: Translate customer issues into clear notes for technicians, and explain repair findings back to customers in plain language.
  • Manage Workflow: Schedule MOTs, servicing, repairs and diagnostics while coordinating with mechanics and parts teams to keep the workshop moving.
  • Handle Estimates & Billing: Prepare accurate quotes, gain customer authorisation for extra work, and process final invoices.

Experience Required

A basic understanding of car maintenance would be an advantage however essentially no experience is required as full training will be provided to the successful candidate. An ideal position for somebody looking to kick start their career!

What We’re Looking For:

  • Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.
  • A basic understanding of car maintenance preferred (experience is not required full training will be given).
  • Strong multitasking and organisational abilities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Confidence using computer systems.
  • Must be of smart appearance
  • A Full Driving Licence would be an advantage but not essential.

Our business includes a Nissan Aftersales Repair Agency, MOT Centre, Fast Fit Tyre and Exhaust Centre, Self-Drive Rental and Quality Used Car Showroom. We are the longest established and one of the leading car dealerships in the Forest of Dean and surrounding areas.

Salary: -

18 to 21 Years Old - £22,568 Per Annum

21 Years and Above - £26,437 Per Annum
